Together with its partners, Hili Company converted a disused landfill in Benghajsa, Malta into a solar farm. Spread over 29,000sqm of land, the solar farm consists of 7,260 solar panels that will generate 2.4MW of electricity. The amount of energy that the plant is producing is enough to power approximately 760 homes each year.
Xpress Feeders' first eco-friendly container vessel, Eco Umande, called at Hili Company’s container terminal in Latvia, Baltic Container Terminal on the 18th September 2024.
The vessel is equipped with dual-fuel engines capable of running on both conventional fuel and green methanol. X-Press Feeders uses OCI Global green methanol, which is ISCC EU (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) certified and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 65%. The vessel is also equipped with a shore-side power supply system, allowing for further emission reductions while docked at ports and terminals.
