Baltic Container Terminal wins prestigious award

On the 4th December Baltic Container Terminal, part of Hili Company in Latvia, received the “Platīna Pēle” award in the category  of Digital Transformation of a Company for the implementation of private 5G network at its terminal.

This is the first private 5G network in the Baltics, delivering higher efficiency, a significantly enhanced level of security, and advanced digitalisation across the terminal’s extensive port area.

The award recognises BCT’s strategic commitment to innovation and its ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency through cutting edge digital solutions.

Baltic Container Terminal, part of Hili Company in Latvia, has achieved a new operational record. On 10th November, the terminal handled its highest ever container volume on a single vessel when MSC’s MSC Santa Maria called at the port. More than 5,400 TEUs were handled during the operation.

Hili Company transports racing yachts

Hili Company, through its shipping and logistics division Mariner Shipping has successfully completed the intricate transportation of racing yachts bound  for the 46th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race, one of the Mediterranean's most renowned offshore sailing events. The logistics operation involved the transportation of seven yachts onboard BBC Livorno from Southampton to Malta.

 Mariner Shipping is the local partner for global yacht carrier Peters and May.
